At long last!
You are cordially invited to view my newest book here.
This project was very special to me because:
It showed me that I can still make a contribution after enduring two years of prostate cancer. I bless God for his kindness.
More than any previous project, it involved my ridiculously talented children and the whole family. (Using the term ridiculous to mean extraordinary is something else I learned from them.)
Graphic designer Aviva Shur proved that, beyond being an artistic wizard, she is a superhero too. Her layout and icons grab the eye and don’t let go.
I was able to add the talents of my student, Moriel Hirsch-Hoffman, who provided original drawings that enhance the text. Not bad for a seventh grader following his passion!
But why should it matter to you?
Because The Superhero Haggadah: A Story of Signs and Marvels is 164 pages of full-color, lavishly-appointed pages, which include the entire text of the Haggadah, in English and Hebrew, commentary, discussion starters, essays, and original art. It will encourage you to make connections and think more deeply about both the Haggadah text and the Marvel characters you have come to love.
From time travel to teaching, internal demons to external enemies, exile to homecoming, and Talmudic sages to cinematic superheroes, you’ll discover commonalities you never considered—and may just unearth your own super powers along the way.
Could this be the Haggadah that adds excitement to your Seder this year? Could it be that perfect gift you wanted to send someone whom you will miss at the Seder?
I hope so.
Once again, here is where you can get your copy on Amazon.
